Epi Lab

Principal Investigator

Research in the Epi Lab covers a wide array of population health sciences. Ongoing projects include studies aimed at eliciting the role of alcohol, cannabis, and other drugs in injury causation and trauma outcomes, controlling the opioid epidemic, understanding the life-course dynamics of injury risk and injury-disease interactions, and identifying modifiable factors of racial and ethnic disparities in anesthesia care and perioperative outcomes.

The Epi Lab is also engaged in developing practical tools and techniques for measuring and monitoring the safety and quality of anesthesia care, and effective interventions to reduce major postoperative complications and racial and ethnic disparities in maternal and child health.
