Principal Investigator

Dr. Guglielminotti is a medical epidemiologist and a former attending obstetric anesthesiologist in Paris, France, with 20 years of experience in clinical care.

His research is based on administrative data. It focuses on the quality of, and disparities in, obstetric anesthesia care, on severe maternal morbidity and maternal mortality, and on the effectiveness of health policies in improving maternal health outcomes and reducing disparities.

His research has been recognized by the 2022 and 2019 Patient Safety Award from the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology, and by the 2020 HCUP Outstanding Article of the Year Award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and AcademyHealth. He is currently funded by competitive grants from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and from the National Institute of Mental Health.
