Department Members Showcase their Work at IARS/SOCCA/AUA Annual Meetings
Faculty, fellows, and residents of the Department of Anesthesiology presented their work at the IARS/AUA/SOCCA annual meetings in Denver, Colorado. They were joined by several VP&S medical students interested in the field. The meetings feature important scholarly activity that will improve research and practice in the specialty, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities for attendees.
HIGHLIGHTS: Dr. Richard Levy was presented with the Kosaka Award for Top Basic Science Presentation, "Discovery of a New Quinone Anesthetic Leads to Identification of a Novel Pharmacological Target in Mice." Congratulations, Dr. Levy! Dr. Viola Neudecker, a 2019 Kosaka Best of Meeting Award winner in Basic Science Research, was interviewed for a feature in the conference newsletter. Dr. Neudecker is an associate research scientist in the Brambrink lab.
