Dr. Jennifer Danielsson is Inaugural Ombuds for Education Division

As part of the department’s commitment to fostering equity and professionalism in the workplace and in our educational programs, the residents have chosen Dr. Jennifer Danielsson as the first-ever ombuds for the education division. Dr. Danielsson has agreed to serve.

The ombuds is an impartial resource who will receive confidential feedback from trainees about our learning environment and respond to any grievances.

Dr. Danielsson completed her residency and an NIH T32 research fellowship in our department. She was appointed assistant professor in 2014. She is an outstanding member of the regional anesthesia team and a successful basic science researcher in pulmonary physiology. As one of the department’s most effective and popular educators, she was nominated “Best Teacher of the Year” in regional anesthesia in 2020 and was master of ceremonies for this year’s resident graduation. Dr. Danielsson is first author in five of her nineteen published research articles, has been invited to speak or present at numerous professional association meetings, and is a member of some of the field’s most important academic societies, including the Association of University Anesthesiologists.
